  7. An advanced 24-port serial I/O board for UNIX and XENIX operating systems at a
  8. lower cost than other 16-port boards. 12LD+12CS boards can connect 12 terminals
  9. and printers up to 3,000 feet away at 38.4 Kbps along with built-in surge
  10. suppression and noise immunity, and another 12 terminals, printer and modems
  11. using conventional RS-232 signals. Using a proprietary high-performance
  12. RISC-type Intelligent Communications Processor, MEGAPORT boards can sustain
  13. continuous full duplex communications on all ports at 38.4 Kbps simultaneously
  14. while using less than .5% of the host CPU per port. The ``soft configuration''
  15. design provides for a simple ``plug and play'' installation. The board can be
  16. combined with any other MEGAPORT and MEGAPLEX boards in the same system. A
  17. comprehensive selection of accessories provide compatibility with any
